Mini laptops (Ultraportables) may have an external drives and may
not have standard ports for mouse, printer or keyboard. Buying such type of
notebook you should be willing to sacrifice some percentage of performance as
well. Because of the tiny size there might be no space to put inside CD or DVD drives.
They may come as standalone units and may not be included in the price. Keyboard and
monitor are smaller and may not be convenient for prolonged or intense work.

I should repeat what I've said before - laptop purchase shouldn't
be an impulse buy, just think about it as of buying tiny convertible car versus
a family size sedan. Don't fall in love just because it is tiny and slim, it
might be not fast enough for your applications. Mini laptops are primarily
designed to be a light companion suitable for many simple tasks, rather than for
power demanding 3D games. If you use it in appropriate fashion not demanding too
much, you will be very well rewarded.
